There is much I want to improve in my life, so here goes..
- Punctuality
- Flat stomach
- Mastering Javascript
These are my short term goals. All touch on long term issues I've faced throughout my life. All of things I want to conquer, once and for all.
- Wake up 45 mins earlier; modify morning routine
- Exercise 3x a week; plan healthy, balanced diet with calories reduction
- Consistently set aside time daily to study at least 10 minutes
These are all steps I can take, off the top of my head. I shall break them down further and create more detailed plans of action for each.
Underlying Issues
PUNCTUALITY - Since middle school I have had a problem with getting to places on time. I underestimate how much time it will realistically take me to get out the door. I can easily spiral down a pattern of "backsliding" where I begin to show up consistently later, until its a very noticeable problem.
At the root of this, was my shyness as a kid. Getting somewhere "exactly" on time meant i didn't have to spend time by myself while the other kids interacted with their friends. All these years later, striving for that is still ingrained in my mind. However, I rarely get there "on time". Instead what happens is I arrive there late! I'm sick of this cycle of fear, guilt, and shame. I know now, the only way it will ever change is through ME.
